What we check

Four areas covered.

Escape routes

We check that every room has unobstructed access to an escape route and that no route passes through another room.

Exit capacity

The number and width of exits the occupant load requires, compared with the actual door widths.

Travel distance

Measured along the walking route from the most remote point to the nearest exit, for escape in one direction and in more than one direction.

Escape stairs

Risers, goings and landings are measured, and we check that the stair leads outside or to a protected area.
